Leo could see that the scion’s fuse was already thinning out, as was expected, so he couldn’t help but wonder how much longer it would take him to blow.

Not even thinking about the consequences that will surely follow, Elliot extended his hand to snatch the book from Leo’s hands. “And what variety could come from this book?” he asked while flipping to a random page, only to stop and stare into the words wordlessly.
